Due to the potential for inclement weather this week,NOTICE is hereby given that Tobacco Associates’ check-off referendum has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in each flue-cured tobacco producing county in North Carolina.

Flue-cured tobacco growers will vote on continuing their support of export promotion and expansion for US flue-cured tobacco by Tobacco Associates, Inc. for the marketing years 2025, 2026, 2027.

The referendum will be conducted by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service.  Polling places will be open during normal business hours at each flue-cured tobacco producing County Extension office.

The referendum will include the question of continuance of the authorization of annual assessments not to exceed one-fifth (1/5) of one cent per pound.  The exact assessment is to be approved by the North Carolina Tobacco Associates Board members.
