Collapse ▲The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is currently accepting applications for their Organic Certification Cost Share Program. Applications are due Friday, November 17th, 2023.
The NCDA&CS Organic Certification Cost Share Program reimburses North Carolina producers for the cost of organic certification. Producers who have recently obtained organic certification and producers who are renewing their organic certification are eligible for reimbursement.
The program will cover 75%, up to $750, of costs related to certification. This is an increase from last year’s cap of reimbursement of 50%, up to $500, of certification costs. To be eligible for this application cycle, costs must have been incurred and paid between October 1st, 2022 and September 30th, 2023.
The application for this program will include: an Organic Certification Cost Share Application, NC Substitute W-9, an operation’s most recent USDA Organic Certificate, as well as invoices showing expenses incurred and paid. These materials can be submitted by email, mail, or fax.
